MACS IN TOLOSA, LEYTE
CHARIS | December 30, 2013
CHARIS Foundation successfully held the first ever Make A Child Smile project gift-giving activity in Tolosa (a 5th-class town 25 kms south of Tacloban City, Leyte).
The event was participated by some 200 Tolosa children whose ages range from 1 year old to 14 years old. Previously, the children took part in a letter-writing session on December 13, 2013 (see related post here: http://charis1.infoasiaconsulting.com/2013/12/15/macs-conducts-letter-writing-session-in-tolosa/)
On their letters, the children wrote their experiences during Typhoon Yolanda. And they also wrote some of their practical wish list. The MACS project team then looked for MACS Ninongs/Ninangs who could sponsor at least one Christmas wish of a child. Volunteers from UA&P Business Economics Association helped in preparing and tagging the gifts to match the MACS Ninong/Ninangs with their MACS Inaanaks.
